Minimally invasive surgery

Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery encompasses a group of procedures that have proven their effectiveness while reducing operating and recovery times. This type of surgery also presents a low rate of complications.

Endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP): Coagulation via laser of part of the ciliary, the portion of the eye responsible for the production of aqueous humour.

iStent implant: Insertion of a microscopic implant in the natural duct of the eye (Schlemm's canal) to allow better drainage of the aqueous humour.

Trabectome: Removal via electrocautery by internal approach of damaged trabecular meshwork in the eye to allow better drainage of the aqueous humour.
