The Institut de l’Oeil des Laurentides is an ophthalmological center of
excellence that aims to contribute to the well-being of patients by
providing diagnostic and treatment services accessible to all in a safe
environment using innovative equipment to cutting edge of technology.

On March 2nd 2012, Institut de l'oeil des Laurentides (IOL) was approved by the Independent Organization of Accreditation Canada
with an honorable mention, which is the highest distinction possible.
Accreditation Canada is one of the most effective means available to
health care organizations to be recognized for the excellence of
services for the entire population of the Laurentians.
The Institute was evaluated on all aspects of health care provided,
such as patient safety, ethics, risk management, continuous improvement
of quality and work environment.
We passed with above standards at all stages of the accreditation
process, the Insitute is delivering 24 Required Organizational Practices
(ROPs), which reduce risks and contribute to improving the quality and
safety of health services.
University of Montreal Optometry School
The Institut de
des Laurentides has concluded an agreement with the University of
Montreal and the School of Optometry making the Institut de l'oeil an
official final year externship location.
