Research

The aim of clinical research is to develop eye care through a better understanding of diseases and of their treatment. In this regard, the clinical research centre of the Institut de l'Oeil des Laurentides (IOL) is in constant growth in order to offer patients treatments on the cutting edge of technology.

Composed of a team of both ophthalmologists specialized in different areas of expertise and of optometrists, the research centre has to its credit numerous clinical trials regarding various diseases including:

  • glaucoma;
  • diabetic retinopathy;
  • age-related macular degeneration (AGMD); and
  • dry eye.

The EIL research centre allows notable advances in the field of ophthalmology through the data it collects.
